Ostara is the earliest work in Honey’s Seasonal Altars series, a group of witchy, pagan-inspired altar pieces rooted in the turning of the Wheel of the Year. Named for the spring equinox, the piece honors renewal, emergence, fertility, and the delicate balance between life and death.
At its center, two intersecting raven skulls form a striking focal point, symbolizing mortality and the ever-present cycle of endings and beginnings. Surrounding them, vibrant moth wings evoke metamorphosis and the pursuit of light, while clusters of crystals shimmer with the raw beauty of nature’s alchemy.
Presented now alongside Litha, Mabon, and Yule, Ostara becomes the spring point in a larger seasonal cycle. It marks the moment when winter begins to loosen its grip, darkness gives way to growth, and transformation rises from what came before.
