mabon (2026)
Mabon takes the form of a ritual object... a symmetrical altar of bone, moths, roses, crystals, and blood-red blooms. Named for the autumn equinox, the piece reflects a moment of balance between light and dark, abundance and decay, beauty and mortality.
The mirrored composition gives the work the feeling of a crest, mask, or sacred offering. Here, death is not treated as an ending, but as part of a seasonal exchange: something that feeds transformation, sharpens beauty, and reminds the viewer that every bloom is tied to the dark soil beneath it.
Part of Honey’s Seasonal Altars series, Mabon belongs to her witchy visual language... devotional, symbolic, and rooted in the cyclical magic of the natural world.
